What is the Radical Middle Way?
Radical Middle Way is a place where young Muslims – in the UK and around the world – can connect with their faith and explore what it means to believe in the 21st century.
Founded in the wake of the 7/7 attacks on the London underground, we promote a mainstream, moderate understanding of Islam that young people can relate to. Radical Middle Way is a safe place for people to ask difficult questions and explore challenging issues.Proactive
By working alongside grassroots partners, we create platforms for open debate, critical thinking and deep spiritual reflection. We provide powerful, faith-inspired guidance that gives our audiences the tools to combat exclusion and violence, and encourage positive civic action. Our work fosters more open, engaged and cohesive communities.Thought-provoking
We organise a range of events – from Question Time debates to Islamic hip hop concerts – with a focus on connecting young British Muslims with their spiritual and cultural identity. From terrorism in sport to global warming to multicultural Britain, we're here to inspire, inform and get you thinking.Inspirational
Since 2005 we've brought thousands of young people into contact with the teachings of exceptional Islamic scholars, activists and cultural figures from all corners of the Islamic world, including Shaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah, Dr Tariq Ramadan and Na'eem Jeenah. This network of teachers is one of the most authoritative and inspirational groups ever assembled by a Muslim organisation, and it provides the knowledge base for all our programmes.International
Since 2005, Radical Middle Way has delivered over 230 programmes and events in the UK, Pakistan, Sudan, Indonesia, Mali and Morocco. In the UK alone, over 75,000 people have participated. Tens of thousands more have participated.Visit www.radicalmiddleway.co.uk for more information.
